Analytical Services

Bayou Analytical provides analytical sampling and testing services to assist our clients with compliance with  Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) program permits issued by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality and local Industrial Pretreatment Programs. Permits are required under LAC 33:Chapter IX in Louisiana's Water Quality Regulations for the discharge of pollutants from any point source into waters of the state of Louisiana. Bayou Analytical strictly adheres to the organic and inorganic testing methods mandated in 40 CFR Part 136 and currently conducts in-house analysis for Biological Oxygen Demand, Carbonaceous Biological Demand, Total Suspended Solids, Fecal Coliform, Oil & Grease, Dissolved Oxygen, Total Residual Chlorine and pH. Additional testing will be offered as certifications are achieved. Any testing not currently performed in-house can be subcontracted to our partner laboratory and reported with your other results.

Bayou Analytical can arrange for the proper collection of grab and composite samples, including same-day sample transportation with proper chain of custody documentation.

Sample collection kits are available and are included as part of the analysis cost. Please let us know what test methods you need analyzed and we would be happy to customize a bottle kit for your specific project. Please note that each bottle is provided by the laboratory based on specific method requirements for sizing, materials and chemical preservatives. The same bottle should not be used for multiple tests unless specified by Bayou Analytical.
